Job Summary
The purpose of the document controller role will be to oversee, track and manage documents prepared during the engineering design process in order to ensure regulatory, legal, and security compliance. Record keeping for internal resource work products and external vendors as well as regulatory and legal compliance; Perform compliance checking and documentation auditing; Report on document status and distribute documents as required.

Qualities that a successful DCs possesses include meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The candidate should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with counterparts.
- Quality review of technical documentation
- Assist in a document title naming standard, versioning schema, etc.
- Document uploads into CMDB (Agile/Amazon PLM) tool or EDMS (Electronic Data Management Systems)
- Configuration Analyst for DE design documents and assist in training others.
- Collecting and compiling the DE document versions from all the various document storages (Shared drive, WorkDocs, Laptops), migrating to CMDB starting from the archive to the latest if possible.
- Work with Configuration Manager on a document process to ensure all the project docs are uploaded within a SLA.
- Diagnose Amazon processes, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies, and guide the improvement effort.
- Responsible for leading and driving process improvements (short-term wins) as well as process design / redesign (long-term wins) efforts.
- Create global best practice documentation and facilitate sharing across the globe.
- Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders and understanding our highest priority execution pain-points and opportunities
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma based continuous improvement methodologies to engage teams to solve customer problems.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of multiple database platforms (Agile/Access/etc.) Preliminary knowledge for the design and construction process. Advanced in creating automation in MS Excel and MS SharePoint or any other similar tool
- Experience in salesforce, BIM, Procore is a plus
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years’ experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- 4+ years of successful project/program leadership experience and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas
- Experience with construction/and or Engineering processes in document control
- Experience deploying transactional lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
