Black Rifle Coffee Company is experiencing explosive growth and seeks to hire a Project Manager – Store Development for our Construction needs. This position will support the growth of our Retail Stores, acting as project management overseeing multiple projects in permitting, bidding, budgeting, construction, and financial oversight in new store development. This role is vital in maintaining and protecting the BRCC brand and customer experience across all our coffee shops and retail stores. Franchisee support may be a part of the responsibilities.
Leadership & Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages budgets consistent with timeline requirements for new store development.
  • Manages and monitors project schedules within budget guidelines, progress, and costs to ensure projects are completed on time and effectively. Maintains, adjusts, and updates project plans as needed.
  • Consolidates, communicates, and manages all issues and risks affecting the project. Communicates project status to project participants and stakeholders accurately and on time.
  • Manages the construction phase of the development process, monitoring general contractor and vendor performance. Maintains established construction schedules to allow stores to open on time. Oversees ordering and tracking of materials and equipment. Visits job site regularly to perform due diligence and monitor quality. Addresses concerns and maintains consistent follow-up on any outstanding issues.
  • Manages the due diligence, permitting and approval phase of the development process and ensures all proper approvals have been received prior to construction phase.
  • Oversees and maintains relationships with external professionals and consultants. Oversees contractor and vendor performance during construction phase through site visits and report review. Maintains relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure seamless store openings.
  • Oversees bidding process and contract negotiations. Ensures company's contract policies are followed and bids are inclusive of full scope of work.
  • Supports development efforts by working closely with other departments to determine more effective processes and tools.

Education & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (relevant experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in construction project management overseeing multiple projects.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience of budgeting and planning and/or cost analysis.
  • Track record of delivering completed projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior administration and reporting skills with the ability to make data informed decisions and recommendations within the scope of the role.
  • Experience effectively utilizing a construction database with a strong knowledge of construction terms and concepts.
  • Must be available to travel up to 75%.
  • US Military or Veteran a Plus!

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and night work per travel and project demands.
