Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Project Manager will provide logistical, administrative, supervisory, and data quality support for a community-based research study. This position requires outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to be organized and multitask.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will work at the Taub Institute and Sergievsky Center in an intergenerational study of memory and Alzheimer’s disease. Under the supervision of the project lead investigators, the incumbent will supervise study staff and manage all project activities. These responsibilities include implementation of study protocol procedures and overseeing the work of the participant recruiters and at least three interviewers, who will conduct in-person and remote visits, brain imaging studies of PET and MRI, blood draws, and telephone interviews of study participants. The Manager will be trained to administer and certify interviewers on standardized interviews of medical and family history, everyday functioning, neuropsychological testing, blood collection, and facilitating participation in an imaging study. The manager will train and certify the other team members on these procedures. The project manager will be certified to assess capacity to consent and obtain informed consent in this minimal risk study following Institutional Review Board policies and regulations, and will help to manage IRB protocols for the main study and ancillary studies. The project manager will be accountable for complete and timely implementation of study procedures for all participants and be responsible for supervising staff associates and research assistants, overseeing data management duties, generating weekly reports of study activities, overseeing the completion of medical questionnaires, scoring, organizing, filing, data entry and cleaning, photocopying materials and preparing biological samples. The incorporation and coordination of ancillary studies will also be handled by the project manager. Other duties pertain to data processing and quality control. They will also manage petty cash for study participation. They will assist in the training of volunteers.

This work will take place under the limited supervision of the principal investigators.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

This work will take place under the limited supervision of the principal investigators. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Experience managing large studies and supervising study staff are highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours is required including evenings and weekends.
