Project Manager

As a Barclays Project Manager you will have to manage Execution Risk effectively, deliver on our Group strategy and satisfy all our stakeholders, you must deliver our initiatives consistently and transparently. In your new role as a Project Manager you will apply the right processes, tools, methods and skills to manage the delivery of a project from business case to closure, ensuring consistent focus on front to back business outcomes and target value proposition.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. - US leading for Equities MGI Portfolio, facing off to regional business and technical leads to ensure prioritisation
- Assessing and reporting on programme status and supporting Equities governance (up to Group ExCo level)
- Ensuring consistent adherence to governance & execution risk standards across the entire business change Portfolio
- Defining approach and best practice across the project and programme management lifecycle
- Leading Financial Management including supporting Financial planning/budgeting - High Level Shape, Medium-term plan (MTP)
- Tracking and monitoring trends and exceptions in financial and non-financial performance (Revenue/Business KPIs/Change Delivery)
- Managing and leading on the execution risk/control dimension, including Change Risk Impact Assessment (CRIA), Change Self-Assessment (CSA), Audits
- Ensuring quality and consistency of status updates, reporting, outward content publication
- Ability to form relationships and work collaboratively with Front Office and Infrastructure teams
- Project/Programme management and Change Governance experience in a Financial Services setting
- Ability to provide high quality MI, reporting and excellent written communication with Head of Business / Group ExCo level
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience in delivering Equities technology projects
- Experience in designing and improving project governance and control frameworks
- Executive level communication
- Markets product experience
