Overview:

Waters Corporation's Professional Services Organization is comprised of highly skilled, motivated and customer focused professionals that partner with customers to ensure successful utilization of Waters’ product suite.


We are currently seeking Professional Services Team Leader who will be responsible for managing the field-based, professional services team and work in collaboration with the other team leaders and managers to successfully deliver all services required for professional services engagements with customers. This team is responsible for Project Managers that support the implementation of the customer's system with regards to Waters products.


As a Professional Services Team Leader working for an industry leader, you will be committed to delivering Waters’ legendary service to our customers who utilize our scientific instrumentation and software. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide (professional and/or technical) expertise on Waters' innovative product suite for multiple customer laboratories spanning across the Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences, Chemical Materials, Clinical, Food, Environmental, Forensics, Academia and Government industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with customers
  • Manage customer expectations, by communicating work performed and providing follow up plan if needed
  • Work closely with the Americas sales and service teams to ensure customer success and legendary service
  • Drives standardization of project implementation methodologies for repeatable, predictable project cycles
  • Develops standard project templates and measures adoption and effectiveness for continuous improvement
  • Staff hiring, training and development
  • Resource management and scheduling
  • Provide monthly project status dashboard for the team's performance and activities
  • Maintain sound knowledge regarding the technology and customers' application demands by maintaining a 50% customer work schedule
  • Work with sales team in respect to identifying future business development opportunities and needs for Waters solutions
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or other science related field
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Understanding of PMI methodologies with PMP certification highly desirable
  • Experienced in creating project plans with MS Project or other tracking software
  • Understanding of the scientific application workflow (how they interface with the instruments, how the data is structured either on the network or local computer) along with the scientific software systems (CDS, SDMS, LIMS, ELN)
  • Expertise in Waters Software Products (Empower, NuGenesis) strongly preferred
  • Must possess a strong customer focus
  • Interpersonal savvy, communicate with different expertise levels appropriately and change your approach to meet customers’ needs
  • Personal sense of integrity and trust
  • Effective time management skills
  • Analytical mindset with a strong drive to resolve open issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
