• You will provide support to other technical initiatives as needed for operational support and plant optimization. You will work in close collaboration with other project managers at the site, providing technical support for project management when needed.
• In terms of Capital Project Management, you will lead all phases of assigned capital and/or expense projects as determined by site/business priorities and capital spending budget. This includes development of functional requirements, scope development, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, VIP Reviews, and EHS Step Reviews.
• In terms of Operational Support, you will provide engineering support to operations and maintenance as needed for process troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and problem solving. These efforts may require formal team participation or leadership, but also may involve informal work groups. Excellent communication skills and strong team interaction are essential to the efforts.
• In terms of Plant Optimization, you will provide engineering support towards efforts to improve plant processes and reduce costs. Depending on the nature of the opportunity, this may be accomplished through participation and/or leadership on teams or as an individual effort.

Qualifications - External

• B.S. in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Ability to lead all phases (scope development, cost estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up) of capital projects.
• Knowledge and experience in capital project management, structured and disciplined problem solving, and ability to act independently will assist you in your success.

Desired

• Knowledge of Project Management policies/procedures.
• Knowledge of basic AutoCAD.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
