POSITION IS LOCATED IN: FLORENCE, SC

COMPENSATION: $100k - $130k per yea Depending on Experience (Exempt)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 7- years of experience in a food processing environment.
  • Strong understanding of computers and computerized process control as well as AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be capable of supervising crews and or maintenance personnel during projects.
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays and nights depending on projects

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine feasibility of improvement projects by identifying costs and benefits of the project.
  • Manage idle equipment inventory to maximize asset utilization.
  • Support the technical needs of the company by understanding customer requirements, market demands, and competitors’ capabilities and products, identifying and analyzing trends in technology, understanding and quantifying company strengths and shortcomings and conferring and collaboration with other members of management.
  • Develop procedures for engineering operations.
  • Plan and execute multiple plant capital budgets. Collaborate with plant functions including Production, Quality, Materials and Maintenance to identify needs and analyze the benefits of the project.
  • Develop Capital Plans to address the Company goals and financial objectives.
  • Implement and complete Projects in a timely and economical manner to address long and short-term Company Goals.
  • Conduct a continuous search of new materials, processes and procedures to enhance and improve Production line efficiencies.
  • Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or cost reduction procedures.
  • Responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment layouts and the modification of facilities within the plant

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing engineering capital projects including mechanical, structural, civil, electrical and architectural. Responsible for managing utility projects including ammonia refrigeration, wastewater, HVAC, electrical distribution, hydraulics, high- and low-pressure air and high- and low-pressure water, warehousing and employee welfare areas. Responsible for managing process related projects including mixing, forming, enrobing, frying, freezing and packaging.
