A local business is looking for a California licensed architect able to independently manage their own projects including interaction with client, design development, preparation of construction documents, communication with building authority, provision of construction administration support through closeout of project, and is responsible for the selection and management of all consultants and associated timelines. This is as long term, full time opportunity located in Cottonwood, CA.Requirements of the Project Architect:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, or similar
- This position requires an intelligent person able to perform problem-solving tasks with speed and accuracy
- Have excellent English writing and speaking skills
- Be able to interact with clients and agencies with clarity
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs
- Advanced project-management skills
- Knowledge of construction costs and time frames
$52k-$102k, depending on experience

Responsibilities of the Project Architect:
- Prepare applications for all projects to the relevant building authority
- Prepare and monitor Project Information Forms
- Assist with client communications
- Monitor project schedules and deadlines
- Prepare and send RFP’s to consulting engineers
- Provide CUPCCAA and DIR assistance to school district clients
- Manage submittals to DSA specific to the ‘Closed without Certification’ process
- Other duties as assigned
