For over 50 years Sertoma Centre, Inc. has helped people with disabilities live, work, and fully participate in their communities. We do this by empowering individuals to achieve personal success through comprehensive services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as those living with mental illness. Based in Matteson Illinois, our accredited Community Mental Health and Counseling services assist adults and youth who experience mental illness to work toward recovery and prosperity.
Your Role:
As the Program Manager for Community Day Programs, you are committed to the mission of Sertoma Centre, providing opportunities that empower individuals with disabilities to achieve personal success. You will be joining a diverse team of dedicated, passionate, mission-focused folks working together to provide meaningful community-integrated day services for individuals with disabilities.
Starting pay range: $38-43k
- The Program Supervisor will ensure that policies, procedures, and practices are in full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- The Program Supervisor will also promote an environment of teamwork, mission-driven values, servant leadership, open communication, and respect.
- Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, coaching, time and attendance, and performance management.
- Ensure that staff use sound business and customer service practices in providing support to internal and external customers.
- Maintain program supplies, resources, and required documentation and/or reporting in a manner that is timely and fiscally responsible.
- Communicate in a professional, respectful and effective manner promoting an atmosphere that is responsive to the needs and desires of individuals served and reflects a commitment to the delivery of support in a person-centered manner.
- Function as advocate ensuring protection of an individual's rights while providing a training element to empower persons with disabilities to understand and protect those rights.
- Demonstrate the capacity to manage multiple demands; with flexibility in adapting to new challenges, while maintaining priorities.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Minimum of one year supervisory/administrative experience. Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid driver's license and documentation of current auto insurance, with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
- Proficient in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
