Position Summary: The person in this position will be responsible for overseeing RGV Youth Recovery Home, a 16-bed residential program for adolescent males 13 to 17 who have substance use disorders, and supervising all staff working at that facility. In addition to staff supervision, this position requires the provision of direct services to program participants, oversight and completion of all required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports/data. The person in this position will be responsible for ensuring staff follows all DSHS licensure and contractual requirements, SCAN's policies and procedures as well as assisting the Executive VP in program and policy implementation. Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and direct all program staff.
- Review each employee's job performance on a yearly basis (or more often if necessary).
- Interview, hire and terminate employees with advice and consent from Executive Vice President, Human Resource Specialist and other staff as appropriate.
- Responsible for training or identifying trainings for all program staff.
- Develop work schedule and assign responsibilities to ensure all residential program services are being provided as contracts require.
- Analyze situations and take necessary actions to provide crisis intervention. Interpreting and implementing SCAN Inc.'s policies and procedures regarding crisis intervention as appropriate.
- Act as SCAN, Inc.'s representative liaison with other agencies.
- Ensure completion of monthly billing forms.
- Ensure completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports are required.
- Complete quality improvements and implementation as required by contracts.
- Responsible for all aspects of treatment for all clients participating in residential services.
- Coordinate client treatment with the other SCAN programs and staff.
- Perform chart audits and file reviews on a monthly basis, initiating corrective action as needed.
- Ensure that all required policies and procedures are followed.
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of the agency.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, sociology, or equivalent behavioral health degree. A master's in counseling psychology is preferred.
- Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas.
- 2 years post licensure experience providing substance use disorder treatment preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to perform all work in a residential facility.
- Direct contact with clients ages 12 thru 17 with various levels of functioning.
- Fast paced environment.
- Potential for high noise level at times.
- Ability and willingness to intervene in physical confrontation between clients in care.
- Some local and/or out of town travel.
- A Minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly, more hours will be required from time to time.
- Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Regular attendance is required. Being able to work as many hours as necessary to complete job tasks is required.
Salary:
Negotiable- Depending on qualifications, license(s), and experience.
