Hours per Week: 40 (Full-Time Exempt)
Starting Salary: $77,682
Staff Supervisor: Jessica Estrada, Director Newcomer Services
Telework Available: Hybrid(1 day a week after probationary period)
Position Description:
The Program Director of the Catholic Charities Diocese of Arlington (CCDA), Education and Workforce Development (EWD) program, works cooperatively with the mission, vision, and core values of CCDA in the provision of education and workforce services to individuals at multiple sites within the Northern Virginia region. The Program Director is responsible for development and administration of the program, including general management, community engagement, federal, state and other grants management and volunteers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of EWD programs and quality assurance.
- Responsible for developing, articulating, and setting policies and procedures.
- Manages budgets; meets budget targets; assists with grant applications, when needed and setting the fee structure of services.
- Prepares reports and collects demographics for agency and other purposes.
- Manages grants and grant deliverables, completing grant applications and grant reporting in a timely manner.
- Assists in the development and expansion of CCDA and the Education and Workforce Development program
- Manages appropriate staff workloads and conducts ongoing management of staff performance and annual personnel evaluations.
- Ensures professional development of staff and maintains own and staff’s competence in the field.
- Provides education and outreach in the community, collaborates with partner agencies, and represents the program at community meetings.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, juggle multiple priorities, adjust to changing circumstances, organize time efficiently, remain attentive to details, and identify resources for projects.
- High computer competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, and data management experience.
- Superior writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to function well in a high-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Flexible to work irregular hours
- Bachelor’s degree required and relevant work experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of non-profit management experience preferred.
- Experience in adult education
