Part- Time Position

Compensation Range: $19.86-$23.08/hour

Position Summary:

The Coordinator for Women and Girls will have the primary responsibility to coordinate activities related to Women and Girls, including case management, program recruitment, college and career placements, and facilitation of workshops for Women and Girls programs. This position will work directly with our Young Women's Leadership Corps and YW Career Women's Programs; these programs are located within our Middle, High School, and Community Colleges.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• In collaboration with college partners, recruit eligible YWCA participants.
• Recommend suitable services to eliminate barriers towards student success; this includes connections to healthy social networks, mentoring, financial literacy resources, wellness and student services support programs.
• Ensure data integrity is vital to the program's health; all data must be entered into the system promptly and accurately.
• Capture and enter accurate documentation for program and funding reports. This includes participation case notes, student testimonies, workshop and resource summaries, and education and employment outcome attainment.
• Recommend and identify resources for Women and Girls programs, creating success strategies for overcoming obstacles for college and career success.
• Lead recruitment efforts to engage eligible participants in department programs services.
• Research and implement specific skills, knowledge and competency development activities and learning experiences to challenge and prepare Women and Girls to meet current and emerging workplace needs and achieve life success.
• Conduct one-to-one coaching and group facilitation to Women and Girls in leadership, college and career preparedness, racial justice, gender equity, and empowerment.
• Identify and recruit businesses, government, and academic resources to enhance program objectives.
• Create employment placements and lead generation for participant placement goals.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by elevating the organization's values, mission, and vision.
• Remain current with professional trends and program resources in leadership development, empowerment, race and gender equity, post-secondary education, and workforce development.
• Facilitate and nurture healthy community partnerships.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director, Women and Girls Programs.

Education and Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, community development, or related degree;
• Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation;

Experience:

• Positive and visionary thinker with strong student engagement experience
• One (1) to three (3) years relevant experience in coaching, mentoring or providing group facilitation;
• One (1) to three (3) years written and communication skills, i.e., report writing, developing training materials and communications with stakeholders;
• Proficient in coaching, mentoring and group facilitation skills;
• Ability to identify realistic expectations with/for students;
• Experience working in the field of human services and with diverse communities;
• Strong understanding of racial justice and gender equity constructs;
• Experience building community and workforce development partnerships and programs;
