St. Benedict Education Center (SBEC) is accepting resumes for a full time Program Assistant. SBEC is a local employment and training agency serving clients who are receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field. Responsibilities include contacting individuals to discuss their barriers/challenges and refer them to an outside agency for ongoing counseling services; maintain documentation; research and provide resources; and work with case managers to implement programming.

The chosen candidate must be at ease when calling clients to discuss difficult topics, and must possess excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of trauma informed care is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required, as well as the ability to obtain Act 33 and 34 clearances. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
