Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming Hamlin is actively seeking a professional groomer!

Pet Groomer Qualifications and Skills:

- Must be willing to work on Sunday and Mondays.

- 2+ years of Pet Stylist/Pet Grooming experience

- Must be familiar with standard grooms for all breeds including various doodle breeds

- Must be proficient in hand scissoring techniques, as well as using various tools of the trade

- Has own Clippers/Scissors/Sheers/ etc.

- Customer service oriented with excellent verbal communication skills.

- Must love working with animals.

- Must be reliable and on time.

- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and have a great work ethic.

- Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.

- Perform at least one test groom under the supervision of a head groomer for evaluation of your skills.

- Provide pictures of current grooming work, and a full portfolio is a plus.

Pet Groomer Responsibilities and Duties:

- Professional grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds and/or cats. (cats not required, but preferred)

- Perform grooming services, including nail clipping, nail grinding, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, flea and tick control baths, pedicures, and ear cleaning.

- Ability to groom 5+ dogs per day.

- Groom animals utilizing techniques that vary depending on the type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions; bathe and dry animals.

- Perform all general maintenance of grooming room; clean cages, tubs, grooming tables; vacuum floor; mop floor daily; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use.

- Recommend retail products that would aid in-home grooming care of pets.

- Enjoys working closely with other team members.

- Willing to work with established clientele while also building personal clientele.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23,651.74 - $77,801.51 per year
