The mission of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become leaders of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation. The Center for Character & Leadership Development (CCLD) plays a pivotal role in the USAFA mission by developing, administering, and assessing programs designed to promote leadership and character scholarship.

Aleut is searching for enthusiastic and experienced professional with development experience to support the CCLD Research Division in establishing and sustaining a cadet mentoring program.

Responsibilities:

• Advising and assisting the Research Division Chief with design, development, and delivery the pilot USAFA cadet mentoring program
• Defining, developing, and delivering mentor and mentee workshops
• Identify program metrics and collaborate with research analysts to assess program effectiveness and proposed program adjustments
• Provide operational support for mentors and mentees in using the Tier 1 Advance mentoring support software
• Attending periodic CCLD staff meetings and weekly management meetings
• Monitor weekly and monthly project status information
• Provide weekly and monthly project status information for the Research Division Chief

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in leadership, organizational management, or behavioral sciences (or other Bachelors with equivalent work-life experience in that discipline)
• Experience - Minimum two years’ experience in leadership and mentoring/coaching is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in leadership, organizational management, or behavioral sciences (or other Master's with equivalent work-life experience in that discipline)
• Experience with mentoring program development and implementation
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and demonstrate good program management skills
• Ability to work in the high operations tempo of a quasi-university environment founded on military standards
• Familiarity with using DoD, USAF and USAFA instructions and guidelines for conduct of work
• Experience working in military environment with knowledge of rank, protocol and culture
