Position Overview

This person will be responsible for operating and cleaning the processing equipment in the facility including, but not limited to the HTST Pasteurizer, UF, RO, RO Polisher, Micro filtration, Nano filtration and sanitation of the general plant.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate equipment as directed to produce a safe, quality product.
• Obtain a State HTST Operators certificate (in lieu of working under the supervision of a certified operator).
• Be able to operate the equipment and perform the required quality checks during the run. Use this information to make adjustments if necessary.
• Understand the workings of and properly monitor the HTST recording system to ensure pasteurization CCP is within requirements at all times.
• Be able to cross-train and operate several different processes.
• Understand the importance of good sanitation, personal hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Learn the total functions of the plant CIP systems.
• Recognize when systems are not functioning properly and request assistance when needed.
• Must document information clearly as required.
• Ability to climb, squat, bend, kneel, twist and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Understand the proper use of the various cleaning compounds.
• Assist with receiving raw liquid loads.
• Assist with the shipping of permeate.
• Assist with the wet-blending of rework.
• Assist with warehouse duties if needed.
• Give breaks to the bagging room operator if needed.
• Assist with all other duties as required.

Requirements

• Food plant experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be dependable.
• Possess or be able to obtain Pasteurizer Operators License.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
