GENERAL SUMMARY
Assigns cast and secondary resources based on published schedules and priorities. Responsible for overall conformance to all processes including die casting, secondary, and metal standards. Monitors and continuously works to improve daily production outputs in accordance to targeted efficiencies. Maintains the highest levels of quality of process and product outputs. Works to continuously improve all outputs related to die casting and secondary production.
2nd Shift Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:30am, Friday's as needed 12:30pm-9:30pm
EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED
- Knowledge of casting, secondary, melting and safety regulations and techniques.
- College degree and/or five years related supervisory experience.
- Acceptable computer skills.
- High School Diploma required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise all activities of the die cast departments.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving process and product quality. Monitors process and product parameters and controls.
- Responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety.
- Monitors production performance standards and aligns the organization to meet or exceed these standards.
- Lead and participate in problem solving techniques related to die casting, secondary equipment and general operating needs.
- Instruct, direct, and assist employees as to duties, best operating practices, quality standards, procedures, policies, rules and regulations.
- Enter data into PC for tracking as required.
- Maintain discipline and take corrective action as necessary.
- Assist with Manufacturing Process and Layer Processed Audits.
- Such other duties as are assigned from time-to-time.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Attain productivity levels of 100+ to standard on all operations.
- Assist in the reduction of production scrap levels to meet company objectives.
- Assist in the reduction of production overtime to meet company objectives.
- Improve utilization-efficiency on cast and secondary operations.
- Maintain 100% compliance on use of routers and work instructions.
- Manages the resources of the organization to minimize downtime, maximize productivity and sustain 100% on time customer and supplier deliveries.
- Responsible for associate safety, lost time accident prevention. Maintains compliance to all plant safety rules.
- Participates in cost reduction activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
