ZLA Solutions has a client in Leesburg, AL looking to direct hire a Plant Manager for tier 1 supplier.

Job Summary

Manage hands on overall plant operations including safety, quality, production, delivery and cost.

Professionalism of associates and support of company and corporate goals.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Oversee operations to ensure safety, which includes leading safety committee.

· Develop plans that help operations run smoothly.

· Manage production daily and future changes.

· Monitor and support production and facility maintenance operations.

· Oversee creation of yearly budgets capital and expense.

· Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.

· Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement.

· Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage.

· Oversee the consistent application of company rules, policies, procedures, and training.

· Track the completion of activity plans, analyze the results against goals for further improvement.

· Develop and implement Improvement Plans & Programs to reduce cost, scrap and downtime.

· Support reporting requirements for such programs IATF.

· Perform job performance evaluations and provide appropriate support and advise as necessary for improvement.

· Provide overall direction, necessary resources and support for production activity.

· Ensure company KPI business plans and management goals & objectives are developed and accomplished.

· Ability to work overtime and/or weekends based on business need.

· Maintain attendance per company policy.

· Ability to work in a team environment.

· Support of hiring open positions to maintain the company organization.

Additional Job Responsibilities

· Perform associate counseling’s at final warning level and terminations as needed.

· Create and maintain a positive relationship with both internal and external customers, and suppliers relevant to company business to improve products, cost and/or services.

· Travel as needed for company business including out of country.

· Utilize all avenues of communication across all levels of company such as shift meetings, bulletin boards, start-up meetings…to keep associates informed.

· Participate in the hiring process for relevant positions as needed.

· Perform other tasks timely according to the requests of company officers.

Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to do the essential functions of the Plant Manager position.

Education/Knowledge

Bachelor degree preferred. Must have related experience in the production aspect (as stated above) of the automobile industry. Related certifications or classes are a plus.

Experience

Previous work experience, at least five (5) years, in automotive related production areas with related responsibilities. Must have previous managerial and supervisory experience.

Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.

Communication

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
