We are looking to hire a Planning Assistant in the city of Fullerton, CA. This is a temporary opportunity for our client.

Job Summary: Responsible for leading the planning and implementation of the production schedule for the various product lines. Purchase necessary raw materials and supplies to meet production requirements. Coordinate multiple activities to assure on-time delivery, production and inventory goals are met.

Responsibilities:

• With direction from Planning and Operations, this position will learn how to convert plans and operational targets into schedules for production areas, raw materials, tooling, etc.
• As well as kitting of components and sort of outgoing and incoming processes, and other misc. tasks associated with the planning department.
• Help to update reports and schedules, for example, shop floor production schedule, material schedule, etc.
• Will learn how to release Work Order packages to shop Floor and release PO's and orders to authorize outside processing.
• Will learn how to check material & component shortages and create requisitions in Oracle and coordinate deliveries with Procurement, Quality, and Materials as needed.
• Liaise with Production and other departments, to resolve issues, follow-up, expedited orders, prioritize past dues.
• Basic understanding of Excel, including, sorting, filter, find/replace, basic functions for simple math operations (Sum, Multiply, Division), formulas.
• Basic office admin software, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Understanding of MRP/ERP Systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Demand planning: 1 year (Preferred)
• Forecasting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Production planning: 1 year (Preferred)
