The Production Operator needs to be a dependable self-starter with a desire to grow and succeed. Oversees operation of processing equipment and processes. Makes routine tests and conducts chart analysis, and determines when a process is complete. Works with Batch processing equipment. Adds ingredients that require exact measurement. Pumps, mixes, and blends dry and/or liquid chemicals. Operates chemical equipment. Interprets instruments and recordings, making required adjustments to products. Maintains accurate production records. High school education or equivalent required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Operates Cowles dispersers and feeds materials
- Oversees the Batch Making Process
- Comply with Operations Protocols to Ensure Quality
- Maintain Accurate Production Records
- Weigh and Stage Raw Materials
- Perform QC Testing
- Receive Raw Materials
- Operate Fork-lift
- Demonstrated willingness to be actively involved in day to day Plant activities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing
- Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs and walk on open grating on elevated surface
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
- Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely
- Occasionally operate business machines
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
UNDER THIS ROOF, WE REQUIRE:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent or 6 months of work experience
- 3+ months of previous experience in manufacturing - We will provide special training to employees based on interest and availability
UNDER THIS ROOF, WE ALSO VALUE:
- Familiarity with Safety activities, safe behavior observations, and team activities
- Production Operations/Manufacturing experience
- Paint/Coating batch processing experience
