Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all AMC Production operations during their shift. They will also be responsible for collaboration and cooperation with other departments and with the other supervisors to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Know and enforce all plant practices, plant and departmental safety rules, and plant rules of conduct.
• Responsible for the training, motivation, and supervision of all individuals reporting to their shift.
• Effectively recommend the hiring, promotion, transfer, and discipline of employees under their supervision.
• Apply employee feedback in a fair, consistent, and confidential manner throughout assigned areas of responsibility.
• Must be able to interact with other plant personnel on all levels to ensure that plant safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met.
• Maintain time sheets, employee scheduling, and attendance records for all employees.
• Conduct safety activities and report all safety related incidents.
• Operate AMC production equipment on shifts when the crew is short-staffed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a strong commitment in the areas of safety, quality, and employee relations.

• Be willing to ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed by all employees.

• Be currently in good appraisal standing with excellent safety performance.

• Be able to effectively communicate through verbal and written means.

• Be able to manage multiple assignments and special assignments or projects.

• Be willing and able to perform job duties at any time on any shift as assigned, including overtime and weekends.

• Strong computer and organization skills required.

• Must be trained as an AMC level 4 production operator or be trained to AMC level 3 and willing / able to be trained to level 4.
