Job description
Our client a large food and beverage manufacturer is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team in Orlando FL. This role is responsible for assisting the management on all Production lines as a straight line manager to shift salaried Production Supervisors. The shift needed is 12pm-9pm Sunday-Thursday. You will have 4-5 direct reports and each direct report has 15-25 people under them. We are looking for a strong leader who has at least 4 years of experience in a production manager role in a food and beverage manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do
- Assist the Operations strategy and tactics development/execution to deliver the site's annual operating plan (AOP). Ensure root cause analysis and countermeasures are identified, necessary resource assistance is secured and clear follow up accountability is assigned for closing performance gaps.
- Deliver all Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Motivation Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for the site.
- Lead and motivate the Operations teams in a manner consistent with the Latham Site Vision/Mission/Values, Zero Loss Journey (ZLJ), Union Contract, and Employee Handbook.
- Build and develop Operations salaried talent through effective application of the Career Growth and Leadership Models. Provide effective and timely performance appraisal (PDR Process), feedback (360 Feedback) and development planning (GREAT5 Development).
- Ensure development of Operations hourly talent and Natural Work Team effectiveness through effective coaching and mentoring of Kaizen Events, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Organizational Capability, and Focused Improvement.
- Develop and manage TE/RE and run strategies leveraging the Team Executional Planner (TEP).
- Lead Operations execution of Cost Management Process and business team initiatives; Lead development and execution of department Natural Work Team plan and goals.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Respond to inquiries from employees and managers who seek data that often requires research.
- Perform special job tasks/projects in support of Plant/Production Manager, which requires a good working knowledge of Manufacturing procedures and guides.
What You Will Bring
- 4+ year's site manufacturing experience - Beverage/Foods manufacturing or Consumer Products Sector (Household & Personal Products Industry) experience is strongly preferred.
- Possess strong skills, knowledge and capability in: TPM or Lean Manufacturing equivalent, Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Human Relations, Savvy Communications, and Statistics/Logical Problem Solving.
- Solid working knowledge in the following business enterprise areas is essential: EHS / Quality regulatory compliance, Plant Operations, Maintenance and Engineering, Ingredient and Package material Procurement,
- Production Planning & Deployment, Sales and Marketing, Research and Development, and Consumer Response.
- Demonstrated proficiency and high degree of competence with a PC in a Windows environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access and SAP.
- Excellent written, grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills with the expertise to generate professional correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills.
- Sense of urgency to plan, organize, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities. Excellent communication skills, using professional, courteous manner and good judgment in dealing with internal and external customers.
- Self Motivated with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously often under pressure; and be flexible to changes in priority.
- Displays a good working knowledge of EHS and procedures for all facility personnel.
Education
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline or Equivalent Exp.
