Overview

Perform miscellaneous duties around the pant which include, but are not limited to, keeping an area and plant equipment clean and operating properly, and perform miscellaneous unskilled duties related to the assigned work area. Ensure safe operation during shift and coordinate maintenance needs with Kiln Supervisor and Production Manager.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience: 1-2 years of experience

Knowledge: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery

Skills: Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Abilities: Ability to climb stairs, ladders and walk extensively throughout the plant

Behaviors: Work as a team player with honesty and integrity at all times

Essential Functions

Maintain a safe working environment, follow safety policies and procedures, perform daily housekeeping of assigned areas, and adhere to plant policies.
Perform general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies, and equipment.
Perform work requiring skill or previous training in connection with rough, heavy labor, such as moving, lifting, or piling materials.
Assist in a variety of functions where manual tasks are needed.
Clean materials from areas around conveyors, using broom, shovel and wheelbarrow.
Maintain clean and orderly work area. This includes general clean up throughout the production area that includes sweeping with a push broom, shoveling swept up material and other clean up related duties.
Consistently meet the production goals as directed by the Kiln Supervisor.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
