PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER-Manufacturing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products: Creates Process Schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Confers with department Supervisors and Managers to determine status of planned and released schedules.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares production reports.
  • May prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assign production in order to reduce the costs of the company, as well as be able to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Reviews and works parts weekly and continually monitors the production process and suggests process improvements.
  • Schedule the production process and production departments synchronously according to material, employee and availability of equipment.
  • Support new product development through cooperative scheduling of model introductions, end of life and prototype processing with the potential suppliers.
  • Requirements include: Bachelors Degree preferred OR Associates Degree with experience in supply chain planning, purchasing, transportation, operations scheduling, logistics and/or inventory management
  • APICS certified preferred with five years of supply chain planning, purchasing, transportation, operations scheduling, logistics and/or inventory management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficient in J.D. Edwards and/or comparable ERP software
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
  • Strong problem solving and mathematical skills.
  • Lean/Synchronous Manufacturing understanding a must
  • MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE- Min. 5 years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
