Title: Production Lead/Gang Saw Lead

Reports To: Plant Manager/Assistant Plant Manager

About McIntosh: McIntosh Box & Pallet is a packaging company that has been in business for 58 years with over 400 employees across twelve locations. We have seven Plants in New York State, two in West Virginia, one in Virginia, one in Maryland, and one in North Carolina. We are searching for a highly qualified individual to help us in our Summit Point, WV facility.

Main Purpose of Job: The Gang Saw Lead will be responsible for leadership of the Gang Saw crew which will include 3-4 crew members. These employees will report to the Gangsaw Lead and take direction from the Lead on daily task. The Gang Saw Lead will report to Plant management which includes Plant Manager, Assistant Manager, and Plant Supervisor. Plant Management will delegate daily production goals and it is the responsibility of the Gangsaw Lead to accomplish these goals daily.

Duties:

• Leadership: will be responsible for all members of the Gang Saw Crew which includes and is not limited to training all crew members on operations of the saw as well as safety proto calls and Lock Out Tag Out. Must ensure that all members of the crew are staying busy and are on task.
• Technology: Must have basic computer skills, as this position will be trained how to use Plant floor.
• Lumber Type Knowledge: Must be able to learn the different types of lumber.
• Measurement: Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Gangsaw Setup: Must be able to set-up saw per task after training.
• Cross Trained: Must be able to operate a Forklift and pass a forklift examination.
• Maintenance: Must be able to complete Daily maintenance and daily inspections.

• Ability to read a tape measure, have basic math and computer skills
• Lift, push and/or pull 50+ lbs., stand, walk, bend and kneel throughout the entire shift
