As Product Management Coordinator at UECo, you will have broad responsibilities associated with the development, management, and marketing of new products as well as our standard ‘legacy’ products. The position requires the ability to maintain an in-depth and thorough knowledge of a large group of products and “own” the development and maintenance of those products throughout the product life cycle. As part of the Product Management, this person will play an active role maintaining perfect product records, and will be communicating updates, training notes and other product information to the Sales & Client Service teams in a timely and detailed manner.
A Day in the Life:
- Organize concepts and designs delivered by the Creative Director and Product Designers to be reviewed at each design meeting, while also maintaining a larger concept packet for our quarterly meetings.
- Keep informed about design trends and developments in the industry through continued study and research of various styles of lighting design.
- In conjunction with the Product Designers and Product Managers, organize comprehensive final design packets to present to the Development Engineering team. Packets include detailed product specifications, finish breakdowns, final design rendering, and 3D models.
- Keep up with active visibility on new product introductions through every stage of engineering, testing, design, build, specifications and prototyping into launch status and availability of prototypes for photoshoots.
- Prepare new product for market introduction by building the website pages, product database and creating necessary training materials for the Sales and Client Service teams.
- Support the Creative Team by managing the flow of prototypes to and from the photo studio for website photography as well as movement into “Marketing Hold” before and after photoshoots.
- Prepare for new product introductions by creating technical documents for both internal and external use, updating the product database and creating necessary training materials for the Sales and Client Service Teams.
- Assist with ongoing product maintenance including shifts in offerings, discontinuations, price changes, etc.
- Learn and understand company visual and quality standards and act as a resource for visual approvals of materials, finish quality, and new designs.
What Will Set You Up for Success:
- Bachelor's Degree and an interest in developing skills in product management, product development, marketing, and design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Suite applications.
- You are mechanically inclined or at least have an interest in learning various production and manufacturing processes.
- You have an eye for detail and an appreciation for the minutiae of what makes up a design.
- You communicate clearly and can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating in writing and on the phone.
- You are highly organized and a star at multi-tasking while managing multiple projects at once. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
