Stanton Carpet is the leading designer and supplier, of decorative high quality self-branded carpet, custom fabricated rugs and luxury vinyl. Stanton sells its products across the mid to high end residential marketplace as well as decorative commercial across six key brands, servicing thousands of retail partners across the United States & Canada. We are currently seeking a Product Development Assistant to join our Woodbury, NY location. This position is responsible for assisting the Product Development team in coordinating projects, performing industry research, and assisting with Adobe design tasks. The Assistant will work onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with coordinating Product Development and design projects as needed
• Provide research, testing, and looking for innovative ideas for new products
• Help with project management for the current Product Development team open tasks
• Identify improvements for current products, ways to increase efficiencies, and enhance quality
• Communicate with multiple teams, customers and suppliers
• Perform administrative functions
• Assist with ad hoc projects requested by management

Qualifications Include:

• 1-5 years of experience in product development and merchandising
• Home furnishing experience
• Textile/Carpet Surface experience preferred
• Experience with Photoshop/Adobe/Illustrator
• Basic computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint:
• Motivated team player with great communication skills
• Organized, detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Familiar with high end design aesthetics
• Fundamental understanding of home furnishings

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
