SharBert Enterprises is a retail, hospitality, and concessionaire company located in Belgrade Montana with 14 locations in Montana's Gallatin and Jefferson Counties and the City of Bozeman. We are adding to our Procurement Team and are looking for a Procurement Specialist to achieve results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving the performance objectives of this job.
Must be analytical, relational, and have the ability to negotiate. Must be able to travel to Specialty Markets and Trade Shows several times a year including Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, and Denver. This position plays an integral role in the annual inventory process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages supplier relationships; tracks supplier performance, supply/availability, pricing, and quality
- Proactively resolves issues (i.e., material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors and internal customers using organizational savvy and critical thinking skills
- Negotiates contracts with key suppliers, provides supplier evaluations, and proposes alternative solutions
- Creates and tracks all purchase orders and contracts
- Anticipates and plans for inventory needs and ensures timely arrivals
- Seeks to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts and strategic partnerships
- Maintains strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up and communication regarding material arrival issues arising in the supply chain
- Assists with inventory management in our fulfillment warehouse and 9 retail locations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical, computer, and software skills; unrelenting organization and attention to detail
- An agile worker who can adapt to shifting business needs in a fast-growing environment
- Comfortable managing and reporting on multiple projects concurrently
- Exhibit a sense of internal and external customer service behind a drive to deliver and achieve results
- Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, peers, management, and customers with clarity
- Available for occasional travel
- Keeps an entrepreneurial mindset, deep curiosity, and a passion for learning & growth
- Demonstrates strong self-efficacy and ability to take initiative in problem solving
- Exemplary written and verbal communication; strong diplomatic and collaboration skills
- Background in food and beverage purchasing a plus
