Job description

We are looking for a Process Technician that is skilled and can work on our injection molding machines. They must be able to reset and adjust them as needed.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ability to Lift, Pull or Push Fifty pounds
• Basic Math Skills ie. +, -, /, x
• Maintain processes of Molding Machines for sustainable quality parts
• Start up and shut down of molding machines and peripheral equipment
• Troubleshoot Molding Problems
• Routine Visual Inspection of Product
• Maintain Documentation of the Production systems
• Process Sheets
• Bill of Materials for production jobs
• Continuous Improvement on the production floor for 5S and Lean Manufacturing
• To assist all Departments with the goal of Maintaining Uptime of the Molding Machines
• To work within all the guidelines as specified by Company Policies.
• Teamwork with all Support Groups
• Communication between shifts
• To Assist in all activities as instructed that are within your Physical Capabilities.

Education and Experience

• Understanding of Material Types
• Understanding of Basic Molding Techniques
• Able to comprehend the Manufacturing books
• Understanding of an Injection Molding Machine and its functions
• Understanding and Use of our Visual Manufacturing System.
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Basic Math Comprehension
• GED and 3–5 years’ experience in the Plastic Industry required

Key Competencies

• Time Management
• Basic Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electrical Connections

§ Forklift License

§ Basic Knowledge of Injection Molding Machinery

§ Basic Knowledge of Injection Mold Operation

§ Molding Principles

§ Basic Quality understandings for Visual Characteristics

Physical Requirements:

· Push, Pull and or Lift 50 lbs.

· Able to Twist and Turn while lifting 25 lbs.

· Able to Stand Continually for a period of no less than 3 hours

Ability to work on Press, Inside of Press, Under Press for Installation of Molds, Cleaning of Molds, Containment of Parts, General PM and any other activities that may require attention during a Production Shift. IND-EL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
