Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze production batches and ensure production runs properly to meet or exceed targets. Review production data and generate summary reports. Key focus is to achieve world class Right Time Manufacturing performance.
- Provides clear, relevant and accurate daily, weekly or monthly reports and executive summaries as required to communicate and drive continuous improvement and improved quality performance
- Maintains and assists in creating and updating process documentation including SOPs, Technical References and Operator Datasheets.
- Works closely with Technical Groups (Industrialization, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to research and test process improvements. Coordinates with QA/QC to manage process changes, and understand impact on safety, quality and the environment. Implement process improvements of the assigned manufacturing area. Determine effectiveness of changes against baseline data and include in documented project reporting.
- Manages capital projects related to process and quality improvements, process safety, environmental impact and reliability.
- Lead work area process improvement weekly meetings and be present to lead and support all shifts by maintaining a flexible schedule and meeting with team members of each shift at least once per week.
We Value:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering required plus 2 years of experience in all facets of plant engineering
- 2 years Engineering experience in a Chemical Food, or Pharmaceutical related manufacturing facility preferred, Six Sigma Training a plus
- Certification or experience in quality assurance a plus
- Must have the ability to lift and carry weight up to 50lb. Constantly: ability to walk, stand, grasp (simple)
- Frequently: ability to grasp (power) and occasionally/Infrequently: ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25lbs, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and crawl
