Primary Care Attendant for Home Health - Part Time as Needed - Gatesville, Copperas Cove, and Hamilton

Main office is located on 1507 West Main Street, Gatesville, Texas 76528

Summary: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved aspects of personal care to clients via written/oral instructions: To deal with problems in patient care as instructed, using standardized situations. Must be able to express or exchange ideas/information by means of the spoken/written word to client/family and supervisor in an accurate, clear and quick manner.
Requires: Full range of body motion including handling and transferring of items/clients. May exert up to 10 lbs. of force frequently in housekeeping task. Occasionally may exert up to 50 lbs. of weight on transfer of client. Be able to stoop or kneel – requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Be able to reach hands and arms in any direction, using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, push, drag or haul objects in a sustained motion. Requiring full use of upper extremities and back muscles. Be able to stand and walk for extensive periods of time.

Qualifications:

1. High School Graduate or Equivalent
2. Ability to cook small meals
3. Ability to do light housekeeping
4. Ability to do laundry
5. Valid Drivers License
6. Desire to help

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $8.11 - $10.00 per hour
