Since 2012,The Sunshine Method has made the commitment to support communities that need it most, focusing our efforts on providing quality education, mentorship and advocacy to thousands of children in Foster Care, Children’s Hospitals, Special Needs Programs, Refugee Programs, from Low Income Communities, and the Private Sector to help bridge the educational achievement gap.

Position Description:

Mentors/Tutors Responsibilities:

• Commitment to students in a meaningful and impactful way
• Assisting students with developing foundational skills, study/ organizational skills, and homework
• Ignite curiosity within students to learn
• Able to assist child in math and reading comprehension
• Creating a fun and open learning environment

Mentors/Tutor Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years tutoring/mentoring
• Ability to pass background check
• Reliable transportation
• Utilize empathetic nature
