Prep Cook/ Kitchen assistant Job description

Assist with kitchen and dining room clean up after lunch, Assist with line prep in the kitchen for Dinner service, Assist with serving in the dining room at dinner, Assist with kitchen and dining room clean up after dinner. 1-2 days per week.

1-2 days per week, Prepare and serve well-balanced meals for Arcadia Senior Living community. Prepare meals according to detailed recipes, following company procedures and in accordance with Oregon’s Health Department regulations; must be able to read and speak English well; present food in a pleasing and colorful manner; work with other employees to serve residents; daily interaction with residents to assess meal satisfaction; clean food preparation areas after meals; follow established charting and reporting procedures; meet with FSD as requested for on-going training and in-service; take pride in presenting nutritious meals and maintaining a well-organized and clean kitchen; be a team player.

Qualifications:

· Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members

· Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

· Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.

· Be able to reach, bend, frequently lift up to 40 pounds

· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

· Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.

· Be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

· Follow FSD directions

· Be able to prepare special diets for the residents

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
