Full Job Description

Job Title – Director of Preneed Sales and Marketing

CC Shepherd Funeral Home is seeking a full-time Funeral Director to join our team! We are a young, energetic, and growing company seeking out hard working individuals to be a part of an exciting future.

We are looking specifically for a licensed funeral director who has exceptional people and communication skills who will be running our preneed program. The pay structure will do well for a self-motivated person who does not require supervision and will get involved in community seminars and charity events to grow our already large preneed program.

This director would largely have control over their own schedule but be ready to assist on the at-need side at our thriving two funeral homes in South Weymouth and Whitman, MA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Creating a seamless and meaningful experience for the families in our care.

- Consulting with families to educate them on preneed investment products, walking them through the decisions for their own funeral, all while cultivating a relationship with them based on trust.

- Knowledge of Funeral Trust accounts used for preneed investing.

- Strong planning, organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail are required.

Requirements:

Valid funeral directing license in good standing with the state of MA.

Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing.

MA State insurance license (easy to acquire if not currently licensed)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to accomplish tasks in an efficient manner while maintaining meticulous attention to detail

Proficient with computer systems (Microsoft Office, Internal File Software, Email)

Knowledge of Trust accounts used for Funeral Preplanning

Pay Type: Base salary is negotiable based on experience, plus commission of our $800,000k average yearly preneed contract total for new accounts.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• South Weymouth, MA 02190: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
• Funeral Industry: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Funeral Director License (Preferred)
