Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. We are currently seeking a Porter with prior carpet/floor cleaning experience. Reporting to the EVS Manager, the Porter plays an important role in keeping Galloway Ridge’s facilities clean. In addition, the Porter assists residents with portage of personal items, assists with move-ins, and helps with set-up and tear-down for special events both inside and outside the buildings. We are currently looking to fill a 8:00am-4:30pm opening. Also, Porters are required to work every 7th weekend.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing general cleaning of Galloway Ridge’s campus.
• Handling floor care; including sweeping, carpet cleaning, and tile care.
• Transporting soiled and clean linens to and from resident apartments.
• Assists with the removal of trash from the buildings and grounds.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for efficient and effective job performance.
• Awareness and reporting of any safety related concerns or issues.
• Maintains a polite and helpful presence when interacting with residents.

• Prior experience with floor/carpet cleaning.
• Excellent customer service mentality.
• Excellent communication skills.
