The Population Health Data Analyst is primarily responsible for the data acquisition, data analysis, report development, data monitoring and maintenance of quality and utilization data from both internal and external sources including but not limited to Allscripts Products, Payer portals and CMS’s claims data. Provides expertise in report generation, the analysis of performance metrics and identification of opportunities to improve outcomes.


REQUIRED:

Associates degree in Business Administration or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required in an analyst role in the field of data mining, statistical or in a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience with computers is required, including a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Nested functions, Macros). Must possess strong knowledge base in data and statistical analysis and quantitative analytics. Advanced ability to identify and compile data from multiple sources to produce and distribute reports to support the QI process. Strong attention to detail. Must have the ability to translate data into concise informational reports. Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets. Healthcare experience preferred. Ability to conduct advanced analytics using SAS and/or SQL; fluent in Excel and Tableau.

PREFERRED:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Information Systems with minimum of two (2) years’ experience with various hospital information systems. Experience in health care service delivery and performance improvement. Familiarity with statistical packages (SAS, R, etc.) and BI Tools (Tableau, Business Objects). Knowledge of data marts and database development tools. Expert level data analytics experience with T-SQL and Tableau. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
