About The Outer Banks Hospital
The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary
The Point of Service Specialist is responsible for providing quality customer services to all patients, patient's family members, visitors, physicians and co-workers. Performs all duties associated with registering patients for professional fees related to practice including obtaining demographic, insurance and medical information from all patients and/or family members. Accurately enters appropriate patient information and charges into the EMR (electronic medical record) of The Outer Banks Hospital, for appropriate registration/dual registration.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of High School or equivalent or higher education.
Must have customer service experience and computer skills.
Health care of physician practice experience is preferred.

Other Information
This is a full-time, 36 hours a week, position.
This position is eligible for full-time team member benefits.
