JOB DESCRIPTION

Tutulu LLC is currently seeking a GIS Lead / Site Planner to join our team. The primary duties of the GIS Lead / Site Planner will be to direct the preparation and development of conceptual site plans, sketches, and GIS / CADD related graphics for inclusion in master planning documents in compliance with Federal and DoD policies. The GIS Lead / Site Planner will oversee the work and training of others in the completion of required imagery for inclusion in Area Development Plans, Capacity/Facility Utilization Studies, Facility Condition Assessment, Strategic Reutilization Plans, Requirements Analysis, and Installation Planning Standards. Must be able to facilitate site planning interviews and breakouts during onsite workshops.

Candidates need to be effective verbal and nonverbal communicators. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) is required. Creative problem-solving skills required. The strongest candidates should have management experience, direction of teams of planners and GIS personnel, be able to work on several projects or issues simultaneously and effectively manage their time to meet firm deadlines. The selected candidate will administer, coordinate, direct and manage the GIS and Site Planning program. Must have current passport (some travel required) and ability to travel overseas, as needed. Security clearance is favorable, but not required. GISP certification (or ability to test for certification) is required.

Work locations for this position include Centennial, Colorado, Huntsville, Alabama or remote home office.

Position duties include:

• Perform complex analyses on spatial and tabular data
• Oversees Geodatabase and software requirements (ArcGIS, ArcPRO, ArcServer and other programs as applicable)
• Supervise GIS staff and conduct required performance reviews of employees, as applicable
• Trains others on the use of various GIS platforms, software and websites
• Attends and participates in professional group meetings, stays abreast of GIS industry trends and technology, Department of Defense SDS FIE changes and updates
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless graphics and imagery
• Works with IT representatives to keeps all GIS/GPS software, hardware and extension licensing and maintenance current
• Conducts senior QA/QC of all products, prior to inclusion in produced documents

  Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
