Work Focus

• Establish a high level of knowledge on Public, Private, Non-Profit, Philanthropic and Organizational Capital used in the implementation of planning projects at all scales.
• Be responsible for funding strategies in implementation planning.
• Lead and participate in meetings including presenting creative and relevant concepts to clients.
• Review and apply for grant and P-5 funding opportunities and manage the ISG grants database for use across all business units
• Communicate grant opportunities in a timely manner across the organization
• Assist in all functions of planning including but not limited to Community Development Plans, Specific Area Planning, Redevelopment Plans, Site Plans and Economic Development Plans.
• Participate in the planning to include: data collection, stakeholder engagement, visioning and planning, implementation plans, project metrics and capital research and development.

Qualifications

• Professional expertise demonstrated through 0-5 years of planning experience is required.
• Bachelors or master’s degree from accredited college or university in Planning or a related field.
• AICP preferred or the ability to achieve certification
• Ability to communicate ideas persuasively and visually through written, verbal, and graphic communications.
• Ability to publically represent ISG and clients in public forums.
• Knowledge of general office software platforms and GIS platforms
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Project management experience a plus.
• Demonstrated track record of successful past employment.
• Desire to work in an entrepreneurial, collaborative and mutually supportive culture where passion, self-motivation and integrity are foremost qualities.
