Job Purpose and Primary Function:
Unique opportunity to work with two iconic Pittsburgh companies at PPG Paints Arena! Selected candidate will gain knowledge in valuable sports marketing and share time between PPG and the Pittsburgh Penguins organizations. The fellowship is for the 2022-23 Pittsburgh Penguins season.
The Mission of the Partnership Sales & Marketing team is to protect and maintain partnership revenue, and increase profitability, while delivering full value of partner assets in a way that meets and exceeds partner business objectives. This position will primarily focus on the PPG – Penguins partnership.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Under supervision and in close collaboration with the PPG marketing team and Pittsburgh Penguins partnership marketing team, this position will provide support for the corporate sponsorship between PPG and the Pittsburgh Penguins by:
  • Implementing contractual partner events and activations
  • Assisting in development and execution of special projects
  • Managing PPG’s ticket inventory at PPG Paints Arena for hockey and non-hockey events
  • Assisting with hockey and non-hockey events at PPG Paints Arena
  • Drafting internal employee communications and external PR pieces
  • Creating comprehensive communication and marketing plans
  • Assisting in the creation of graphics and promotion items through internal teams and vendors
  • Creating and drafting digital content
  • Collecting, managing and summarizing proof of performance metrics
  • Creating reports and presentations through various Microsoft Office programs
  • Strengthening the PPG and Penguins relationship with the development of new partnership assets
Requirements:
  • Must have an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field, or a senior year bachelor’s degree candidate in a marketing communications or sports marketing program
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks, takes proactive steps towards improving partner relationships, productivity and team progress
  • Team player capable of managing productive relationships within the team and with partners in a professional and collaborative manner
  • Software knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Social media knowledge
  • Demonstrated competence managing multiple priorities and projects on tight deadlines while maintaining top quality deliverables
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights and weekends a must
  • Other duties as assigned
