Schedule: Part Time, Saturday
Position: Physical Therapist
Provides physical therapy services to patients impaired by physical dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation of treatment plans. Participates in patient care conferences, program development, and screenings as appropriate. Provides supervision for PTAs and aides as assigned. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.
Principle Responsibilities
- Conducts physical therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient physical status.
- Provide physical therapy treatment consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the APTA for Physical Therapists.
- Develops and implements treatment plans using strengthening, modalities and retraining to reach patients’ highest potential for independence.
- Provides direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards by use of graded activities to facilitate the restoration of physical and functional abilities.
- Checks, instructs, assigns and reviews the work of PTAs and aides as assigned.
- Provides documentation in a legible manner, to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, accuracy, and company requirements.
- Participates, as requested, in patient care conferences, per company guidelines.
- Participates in CQI activities as required ensuring continuous quality of care.
- Rotate to other facilities to meet productivity/patient care and other duties as assigned.
- Promotes current standards of clinical practice through participation in continuing education and in-service programs.
- Coordinates and/or participates in in-service programs for internal/external groups.
- Participates in new program development.
- Participates in company meetings and additional activities as directed to facilitate effective departmental operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Accreditation
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Licensure as required by the State of Michigan and Member of APTA
- Skilled Nursing Facility and Home Care experience preferred

Working Conditions
- Exposed to patient care, and office environments.
- Will require travel, must have reliable transportation.
