Job description

We are a closed door Hospice Pharmacy looking for an Pharmacist who is able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Provide clinical consultative services to patients and therapeutic recommendations to nurses, physicians, and other hospice personnel.
• Verify and fill medications accurately and efficiently

• Enter, access, and retrieve data in the pharmacy system.
• Transcribe, verify, and fill prescription orders.

Preferred:

• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, with special emphasis on effective telephone correspondence
• Excellent problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain courteous and professional composure during stressful situations.
• Ability to work cooperatively with both pharmacists and technicians.

Required:

- Pharmacist License that is current and in good standing with the State Board.

- Lives within 15-20 minutes of the Pharmacy located in Chatsworth.

Position:

• Oncall Pharmacist may work from home to answer calls but must be available to go into the pharmacy to fulfill emergency orders if needed.

• Majority of On-call orders or calls come in before 11pm.
