Description:

Keep Administrator informed of all personnel issues

Assist in developing and maintaining job descriptions and evaluations

Maintain personnel files to standards established by Federal and State laws

Responsible for completion of proper paperwork when employees change status

Administer disciplinary program

Answer verifications of employment on present and past employees

Maintain current file of applications for employment

Reviews applications with department heads to select best applicants for job openings

Schedule interviews

Check references and verify high school diploma, GED certifications and professional license

Make conditional offer of employment to selected applicant in accordance with Human Resources policies

Process new employee paperwork and forward necessary paperwork to HR

Maintain current licensure/registration/certification on employees

Complete employee requisitions for vacant positions

Maintain files for employee competency and skills checklist

Review time and attendance and abide by policies and procedures to ensure correct usage of the system

Enter personal time and edits accordingly in the system

Assist in implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing home

Attend and participate in the nursing home PI program

Education Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent with some college or equivalent experience in personnel.

Experience:

Minimum of two years experience in personnel.
