We are aiming to build a team that will function as an in-house consulting group for upper management. Your work will be project-based and the department you are servicing will be determined by your project. Our project structure promotes variety, and you will always be challenged. You will learn to take any topic, break it down to the key (mutually exclusive, collectively exhaustive) components, and make meaningful insights that influence business decisions and move the needle. Responsibilities include producing accurate, timely, and comprehensive reports and analyses to drive strategic decision-making which helps the finance and operations teams maximize revenue and profits. This role will typically be tasked with compiling data from all acquisitions, developing and communicating business insights, and efficiently balancing multiple deadlines on assigned projects.
Performance Analyst Key Tasks:
- Clean and compile data from each company’s data sources, automate the cleaning and compiling process, and create data visualizations that generate meaningful actionable insights for the business
- Produce multiple reports and dashboards on a scheduled basis for use by the senior leadership team
- Effectively outline and communicate insights and drivers from these reports to leadership
- Perform deep-dive analyses of various topics such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, HR, employee performance, and work-in-process job forecast data to find profit-generating opportunities
- Devise new key performance indicators (KPIs) and create tools to measure and present those KPIs to leadership
- Work directly with operations and finance to determine solutions to business needs and streamline current business processes
- Create ad-hoc analysis as needed for senior leadership
- Create professional reports and presentations
- Prioritize and focus on outcomes that drive action plans, deliver business value, and enhance revenue.
- SQL coding skills (cross-joins, CTEs, nested joins, window functions, views, data type transformations, etc.) or enroll in a course upon onboarding
Basic Qualifications:
- Undergraduate in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related data analytic field or equivalent certification
- 1+ years of experience SQL coding, academic experience can count towards total years.
- 1+ years of advanced of MS Excel experience using pivots, lookups, get and transform data functions, academic coursework can count towards total years.
- 1+ years of experience using Python or R for analytics, data science, data cleansing, and automation or enroll in a course upon onboarding
Preferred:
- Graduate degree Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related data analytic field or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of intermediate PowerPoint skills
- Experience with data visualization tool: Power BI or Tableau (thorough understanding of level-of-detail calculations)
- Experience with DAX and/or VBA
- Ability to understand and analyze data and provide insightful reporting and recommendations
