Trinity Integrated Care is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team. The Certified Peer Support Specialist will provide peer support services to clients receiving care at our behavioral health residential facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging clients in their recovery journey, promoting self-empowerment and independence, and facilitating connections to community resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize lived experience to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
• Engage clients in activities and conversations that promote self-awareness, self-esteem, and recovery.
• Facilitate group meetings and activities that encourage clients to support each other in their recovery journey.
• Provide advocacy, support, and assistance to clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to treatment.
• Document all client interactions and services provided according to established protocols and procedures.
• Attend and participate in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in good standing
• Extremely proficient computer skills a MUST
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Personal experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder recovery required.
• Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
