Responsibilities
In keeping with the CHW core values, the PBX operator provides communications services within the organization, treating the caller in a respectful and courteous manner. The operator is responsible for the telecommunications system as well as connectivity to a number of other systems including the nurse-call system, paging and the monitoring of all alarms. The operator is responsible for projecting a positive image to all in need of telecommunication services. In addition, the Operator II will assure all Operator I's have achieved proper training. Assures shift schedules are met and troubleshoots systems as needed. Keeps supervisor and manager informed.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School education and completion of recognized computer training course required.

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly, concisely, and accurately
- Must possess good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain composure in stressful situations and handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to prioritize responses in emergency situations. Able to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such
- Ability to provide supervision of Operator I's. Basic knowledge of general concepts and vocabulary of computer systems, and operating principles of PC's to in-house systems
- Excellent customer service skills.
