Hours/Days: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm

I. Summary of the mainfunction/purpose of the position:

Payroll Administrator is an accounting position responsible for preparing, processing and recording bi-weekly payroll, reviewing and reconciling benefits billing, and maintaining accurate payroll records for Premier Island Management Group.

II. Key Principal duties/responsibilities:

  • Reviewing Time Records.
  • Reconciling and processing Tips and Commissions.
  • Preparing and Processing Bi-Weekly Payroll.
  • Calculating Payroll funding by Location.
  • Preparing and recording Bi-Weekly Payroll Journal Entries and Monthly Payroll Accruals.
  • Reviewing, Reconciling and Posting monthly Benefits Billing including invoicing related entities.
  • Maintaining Employee Payroll Records and Processing Changes.
  • Processing Employee Payroll Deductions.
  • Calculating and Processing Monthly Workers Compensation insurance invoice.
  • Responding to Payroll Related inquiries.
  • Responding to Unemployment Claims.
  • Ensuring Timely Reviews are completed for all staff.
  • Assisting with Open Enrollment annually
  • Ensure ACA Compliance
  • Providing payroll training to managers

Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:

  • Direct payroll related annual audits.
  • Records filling and storage.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned.

III. Accountability: Areas in which the position is accountable/responsible:

Records:

· Maintain physical and electronic accounting records in accordance with GAAP, IRS, and SOX regulations.

Safety:

· Maintain and safe work environment.

Department Specific:

· Maintain internal controls.

· Maintain confidentiality of payroll information

IV. Supervisory Responsibility:

This position provides payroll support to departmental managers and ensures accountability.

V. Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • Five years of related work experience required.
  • Proficient Excel Knowledge

Specialized or technical educational requirements:

  • Must be able to work with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing required.

· Ability to work independently and use critical thinking to arrive at solutions.

· Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees.

· Ability to work within multiple entities and remain organized and to prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information.
  • Ability to organize and write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and the public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.

Personal Computer, printer, calculator and standard office equipment and machines as required.
