Job description
A Patient Liaison facilitates clinic services by facilitating communication between clinicians and patients. Obtains necessary data from patients to best allow clinicians to provide excellent clinical care. Facilitates communication between clinician and other clinically relevant members of the community while being cognizant of patient confidentiality.
This position is hybrid. 75% remote and 25% in office.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience as a healthcare front desk clerk, patient representative, medical assistant or nurse; preferably in behavioral health.

- Flexibility; travel to and from clinic locations.
- Ability to manage front desk operations
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills; ability to navigate electronic medical records systems.

- Ability to multi-task in a fast -paced environment.
- Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in team discussions in a positive way.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and clinical practices.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds force to lift, carry, pull or push objects.
- Stands, sits, walks, and converses most of the day.
- OSHA Category III: Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
I: Essential Duties/Responsibilities (Position):
- Schedule Management- Complete operational requirements by scheduling patients; expediting work results. Assist clinicians in schedule maintenance, hospital referral protocol and/or any other clinical issues that may arise.
- Filling and confirming schedules
- Monitor for scheduling errors
- Cancel appointments s needed
- Triage Patients
- Capture vitals
- Update progress notes
- Review medications for accuracy
- Assign patients to rooms
- Front Desk
- Maintain workflow by checking patients in and out in an efficient manner.
- Collect appropriate patient insurance information and copays as necessary.
- Maintain organization and reduce clutter at the front desk and other workstations.
- Telephone communications
- Answer calls
- Relay messages to clinicians and patients. Create telephone encounters that using correct grammar and spelling in a clear concise message; respond to telephone encounters in an appropriate time frame, delivering the information as the clinician has outlined.
- Check and respond to voicemail
- Appropriately manage emergency phone calls according to emergency procedures and policy.
- Maintain professionalism at all times; interact with patients in a way that is kind and professional.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending required job orientations and/or workshops for employee development.
- Attend and contribute to periodic staff meetings.
- Maintain and facilitate basic clerical duties.
- Monitor and help with patients’ basic needs.
- Ensure all job duties are completed accurately before leaving workstation for the day, and assign all left
over responsibilities in a responsible fashion to the person that who can best help in a timely manner.
- Close clinic according to clinic closing procedures.
- Perform cleaning rounds as assigned
- Observe allotted break/ lunch times.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Understand clinic policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.00- $20.67 DOE
