Job description

The POP Center is Newton's premier birthday party venue with over 7500 sq feet of themed play space and a party room. Families rent The POP Center for private use of the facility to host their birthday party for kids ages 1-7. Party sizes range from 12-60 people.

We are looking for a hospitable, warm, flexible and reliable party host to be on site during the booked birthday parties on Saturdays and Sundays and some Friday evenings. The party host is the face of our company.

On Fridays, there are some times 1 party between 5:30-8:30pm.

On Saturdays, there are usually 1-3 parties back to back between 11:30am and 8:30pm.

On Sundays, there are usually 1-2 parties back to back between 2:00pm-7:00pm.

Job Duties Include:

• Arriving early to make sure the building is unlocked and opened, ready to welcome our guests.
• Help the birthday hosts set up their food and drink and be generally available to serve with a smile
• Man the front desk to welcome guests and show them into the party, informing guests of rules and safety guidelines.
• Ensuring guests' safety and compliance to ensure company property is taken care of.
• Cleaning up between parties, which includes: putting all toys and materials back in their proper rooms, emptying trashes, doing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and restocking papergoods
• Setting up for parties, which includes: setting up the birthday table, table cloth, papergoods, backdrop and balloons.
• Answering guests questions about The POP Center and giving tours as requested
• Staying after the party has ended to ensure the building is cleaned, shut down and locked up before leaving.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends only
