General Description
This part time position is located in Weimar, Texas.
The Part Time Senior Citizens' Program Site Manager/Driver coordinates the daily operation of the designated Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) Senior Citizens' site and keeps records of all services and operates a 12-passenger van to transport the elderly to medical, shopping, and nutrition center facilities.
Requirements
This person in this position must have an understanding of the needs of older people. This position requires the ability to encourage and utilize participants in all phases of running the site and meal program. The person in this position must be able to complete and maintain permanent records, staff time sheets, and monthly calendars and have the ability to recruit volunteers. The person in this position must understand and be able to apply the latest techniques in assisting passengers in and out of the passenger van. A Texas Driver License with insurable motor vehicle record is required. A criminal background check is also required.
